Sweet girl sitting at her favorite bar, waiting on her cappuccino from Simon.
Stitches are out! Darby was still anxious going in (even after two sedative pills!), but as soon as the stitches were all out she immediately calmed down. She must have been nervous about going to see the doctor, just like her mom. Ha. I'm very glad John Ralph was there this morning because the only way we could get her to be calm was by having her stand on the vet's table with her front paws draped over our shoulders. The vet had to go in from the bottom to get to the stitches. Talk about difficult.
Three more days and we're clear to go to the dog park! Right now we're sticking to our hour long walks in another park near the apartment. That park has chickens, ducks, swans, and bunny rabbits in it, so a walk through is quite the training opportunity. She does such a good job heeling and listening to her "leave it" command. We have to "leave it" quite a few times on the bunnies. I'm pretty positive Darbs just wants to be friends with them (she LOVES other animals), but I'm not going to be the lady with the happy dog bothering the bunnies in the park.
Anywho...enough about the pup. We hope all of you have a great weekend! Ciao for now!
