Well hello there.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm really glad to see the start of a new week. Last week I just wasn't feeling like myself. To be completely honest, I'm struggling more with this transition than I expected and last week it all finally got the best of me. While these changes can be exciting, they can also be so overwhelming.
This week I'm just going to start fresh. I'm going to set small goals. I'm going to take time to breathe. I'm going to pick myself up by my bootstraps, and I'm going to make things happen. I might need to have Bob Marley on repeat to remind me that "every little thing is gonna be alright," but I'm going to take charge of this week.
Here are some of my small goals that I'm going to set to accomplish:
- Have quiet time
- Finish making a solid resume
- Apply to at least one job
- Paint the guest room/office
- Secure a plan of action for getting a desk for the office (buy new? find something old and repurpose? get one made?)
With every change I know there are going to be adjustments, and this is just another one of those times. I'm confident that I'll find my stride again soon and figure out my "new normal."
Side note- whenever I go through times like this I can't get a particular hymn we sang in chorus out of my head. "To everything there is a season. To everything there is a time. To every purpose under heaven there is a season, there is a time." (MCHS Chorus, who's with me?)
I digress…
Anyway, I also plan on having a few menu items to discuss with you guys tomorrow for Menu Monday! I'm going to be sharing a really good chicken recipe I tried out and letting you know what I plan on cooking this coming week.
So, let's go on and tackle this week together, shall we?
