Salzburg, Salzburg, Salzburg. Seriously one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Heidi and I were very hesitant to extend our road trip because the weather didn't look too promising. It was supposed to be rainy and cold, and we didn't pack raincoats, umbrellas, or really anything warm. We were almost deterred, however, when we realized we could either be in the rain in Salzburg or the rain in Vicenza, we picked Salzburg.
I'm so happy we did. Although it was overcast, it was still beautiful. We were able to walk around the old town and take a train up to the castle. We had a delicious dinner at a simple restaurant, and after breakfast the next morning we ventured in a few little shops.
Salzburg is definitely a place I would enjoy visiting again. And next time, I'll definitely take a Sound of Music tour!
The beautiful river running right through town.
Darby, the sightseeing pup. (Who is also TERRIFIED of horse-drawn carriages.)
The castle overlooking the city.
View of surrounding hills from the castle.
Spending the afternoon castle watching is a good thing to do.
I loved this story.
The town of Salzburg.
Three little artists.
Mom and Puppy just looking around.
Darby, singing.
The other side of the river.
Beautiful!
