La Dolce Vita

You guys, I did it again!  I forgot yet another anniversary of us living in Italy.  Last year I had plans to taste 365 different flavors of gelato to celebrate the days, and this year I was going to try 365 glasses of prosecco.  Who's going to drink all that prosecco now?

While two years seems like a long time, it has been a whirlwind for us.  I've grown to love the Italian culture, as different as it can sometimes be.  I spent half of the past year here living alone, which is something I never in a million years imagined I would be doing.  I've made so many wonderful memories here, and to think that one day our time in this beautiful country will come to an end, makes me sad.

I think to the future (the very distant future), when I'll get to tell my grandchildren that Grandpa swept me off my feet, and in just 7 short weeks we went from dating, to engaged, to married, to Italy.  What an experience this has been.  What a journey this life has taken us on.  I can't wait to see all that our last year in Italy has in store for us.

My beautiful town.  I love Vicenza.
