95 Years Young

My Memaw turns 95 years young today.  I have never known a woman more determined, wise, or caring as she is.  I could tell stories of the memories we share for hours.  Spending my childhood as her side kick was awesome.  I couldn't have learned half of the life lessons I know without growing up by her side.

She's where I get my sass and my hardheadedness strong will.  If we decide we need to do something, by golly, it's going to be done.  She's the person who taught me to have a good head on my shoulders and to always pack extra underwear.

She often tells me about stories she's written down of things I said or did growing up, and the truth is, I wish I would have written down all of hers.  She will tell you exactly what you need to hear, whether you want to hear it or not.  And if you're smart, you'll listen.

When I was sick, she took care of me.  When I was scared, she comforted me.  When I was happy, she rejoiced with me.  She has encouraged me throughout all of my journeys and I'm so blessed to have her in my life.  If I have a little girl, I want her to grow up to be just like my Memaw.

That look is typical Memaw.
