Have Passports, Will Travel.

I'm packing up for a road trip to Germany with my bestie, Heidi.  Things that I'm looking forward to:  1.) The temperatures being between 70-85 degrees, 2.) Reading books in cafes, 3.) German food.

Whenever we travel around, it's a ton of fun, but being within driving distance of so many countries and just as many languages can scramble your brain a little.  While in Italy, I have a hard enough time trying to work through English, then the little Spanish I know, and finally Italian before I can actually communicate with another person.  (It's funny how your brain processes languages)  Yesterday, I attempted an English/Italian/French conversation with a lady on the street.  Tomorrow we'll be switching to German.  Let me make it clear...by no means am I any good at any of those languages.    However, attempting to communicate in the host nation's language, no matter how small your efforts, always seems to be greatly appreciated.

From Germany, we might take our time making our way back home.  Since our schedules are flexible, our plans might as well be too.  I packed the pup some extra kibbles, and I'm going to take my Memaw's advice and "always pack extra underwear."  Haha.  Other than that, we might just see where the wind blows us.

Hopefully some great pictures will be coming soon!  Ciao!  or Arrivederci!  or Tschuus!  or auf Wiedersehen!
