On our second morning in Nürnberg we hopped on the underground hoping to find the old Nazi Rally Grounds. I think it's important for us to see the historical areas in the places we visit. It wasn't until we had wandered around a park for about 30 minutes that we realized we were completely on the wrong side of town. After another underground ride, paired with a tram ride, we eventually arrived at the rally grounds.
The main building was massive, with a hard, cold façade, and I could definitely see it being used to intimidate/influence the masses. Although it was never finished, there were 6 rallies held there.
After walking around the grounds for a while, we decided to grab some lunch, which was followed by a boat ride. The weather was absolutely amazing, and we were able to spend the afternoon enjoying each other's company. We couldn't have asked for a lovelier end to our stay in Nürnberg.
You put these guys in charge and you end up in another country.

Such a massive structure. The pictures don't even do it justice.
Lunch of potato salad, weisswurst, and a warm goat cheese salad (not pictured).
