After leaving Weiden on Saturday, we headed an hour west to the city of Nürnberg, Germany. Our hotel was located just on the other side of the old city wall, so after checking in we grabbed our market goodies and set off to find a place within the old city to enjoy our lunch. Once we refueled, we walked around taking in the sights of the beautiful city. Of course there were several bratwurst and beer breaks throughout the afternoon to keep our stamina up during all the sightseeing.
Nürnberg was a city with lots of history and charm, and only added to the list of growing reasons for why I love Germany.

St. Lorenz Kirche, an Evangelical Lutheran Church, where Pachelbel was organist.
I found the placement of waterspouts quite bizarre.
Don't let the calmness of this picture fool you...
...the bottom of the cloud fell out about two seconds later.
Another lovely church.
All that sightseeing made us thirsty.
And while we were enjoying a cold brew, we decided we might as well have some brats and kraut too.
