On the second day, John Ralph ran through some vineyards and found an old stone road that lead up to some old abandoned villas. So on the third day, we all took a little nature walk to see what will one day be our vacation home.
Through the woods we go. At one point we saw the BIGGEST rabbit. I thought it was a dog running down the road until it turned sideways and I realized it was just a giant bunny.
Looking back at our agriturismo. We stayed in the stone building to the left.
Once we got to the top of the hill, we realized the "abandoned" villas weren't so abandoned after all. There was a little, old Italian man tending to his tiny little garden, but after explaining that we were just tourists looking around we ventured on through the property.
Even though things were falling apart, it was still so lovely.
I think we'll make that our master bedroom.
John Ralph's main reason of wanting to go back on the third day was that there were so many old fruit trees with tons of fruit just going to waste on them. He came back the first morning with a handful of plums, so he took the backpack to load up on the third morning. Just to be clear, we weren't stealing anyone's fruit. These trees were obviously not being taken care of and were in the middle of thickets, so really, we were just doing everyone a favor by picking the fruit.
Our future one car garage.
Once we made it back to the hotel, we grabbed a quick breakfast and got on the road to some towns a little further south. We spent lunch time in Sarteano and the afternoon in Montepulciano, making for another lovely day in Tuscany.
