I promise this isn't going to turn into a dog blog, but I do want to capture a few of these memories we have already made with the pup. We packed her up and brought her along for the trip to Tuscany and she slept the entire car ride. Almost 4 hours and she didn't even look out the window.
When we made it to our agriturismo, she had plenty of energy. Let me tell you, the pup loves clover. I think she would have just stayed under the olive tree rolling in clover the entire weekend if we let her.
I know this picture is super dark...I had my camera on the wrong settings, but Darby decided to take a little swim in the pool. John Ralph jumped in and Darby decided she needed to save him and jumped in right after him. She didn't love it as much as I think she expected.
People that have seen her in pictures keep commenting on how big she is. Well, she's not really that big. She's only 11lbs, but she is very fluffy. John Ralph and I couldn't stop laughing at how she looked wet.
She got a serious case of the Zoomies after she got out of the pool and went crazy running around. I think it's safe to say that we will be easing our way into the next swimming experience.
She spent the rest of the afternoon like this. Swimming was hard work. She's so worthless.
I was nervous that her belly wouldn't dry off fast enough for us to drive to Siena (I didn't want the seats wet), so I turned her over on her back and she just went back to sleep like this. Her life is so hard.
We had to carry her around a bit because she would still get pretty sleepy after walking, but all in all she did a great job keeping up with us. She's perfecting the art of sleeping under cafe tables and chasing pigeons.
