Pasta Perfection

I was extremely excited when some friends asked if Ralph and I would be interested in doing a cooking class with them.  I was beginning to think we were going to run out of time to squeeze in one final class, but this opportunity fit into our schedules and worked out perfectly.  We had a great time and made some delicious food.  I'm so glad I've learned how to make a few Italian dishes so that when I'm missing the "good stuff" I can just whip something up in our home.

Too many hands in the pot spoils the sauce?  Not for us!  The more the merrier!

I mean, do I even have to say anything for this picture?  It was a pan of deliciousness.

Fresh spaghetti!

Clarice was quite the professional.

I would say that is some perfect pasta.

I swear, if I'm not making a dumb face...

…then Ralph is.

Casunziei, a traditional pasta filled with beets from Cortina d'Ampezzo.

This picture cracks me up.  Ralph and Lucas making the same face while inspecting their "perfect" pastas.

Our first plate was delicious…we followed up with garlic olive oil and pepper pasta, roasted sausage and vegetables, focaccia, wine, and coffee!

I am definitely going to miss these fun classes but I'm really excited to try out some Italian recipes while entertaining family and friends.  I think a pasta maker is going to be one of our first purchases for the new house, so you guys, get ready for some pasta parties!

Thanks again Clarice and Evan (and your parents!!) for letting us tag along.
