Sunday Brunch and Dog Days of Summer

We had a pretty slam packed Sunday…and I loved it.  We started the morning with a delicious brunch at Borsa, and ended the day with a cooking class with Lucas (and a few gelato cones).  Now we're just waiting on the USA world cup match to start and making a long "to do" list of things we need to get done tomorrow (nothing like a little down to the wire procrastination).  I think we've really made the most of our last few days here in Vicenza, cramming in as much as possible and soaking up every second of hanging out with our favorite people.  I couldn't be happier with the note we're leaving on.

Ohh, Borsa brunches.  I'm going to miss the view, but mostly just the "buffet" of cakes.  And since they didn't have my favorite one today it just gives me one more reason to have to come back.

I mean, could you get a better looking group of blondes?  I didn't think so.

(Serious note:  these ladies are AWESOME and are some of the kindest, most genuine, funniest, all around wonderful people I've ever met.  I am so incredibly thankful for the laughs we've shared and I hope all our paths cross again, sooner rather than later.)

Ok, fair warning, the rest of this post is mostly Darby and Tux so if you don't want to look at our incredibly cute and slightly insane dogs, just stop reading here.

Darby decided to become instant best friends with Tux the moment she met him, and today they had one of their last dog park dates.  They are a bit ridiculous and just wrestle 99% of the time they are together, all while looking like the biggest doofuses ever.

Just silly, these two.

"Oh, hey Tux.  I didn't see you sitting there."

Now, luckily for me, Tux's mom is one of the coolest gals I've met here.  Rachel and I became fast friends during our regular dog park dates.  I'm sad that our time in Italy didn't overlap longer, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will find ourselves near each other again.

(Getting these two dogs to do what we want is much like herding cats…)

The friends I've made over the last three years are outstanding.  I hate to say goodbye, but I'm already looking forward to the next time we meet again!
