Some Updates...

Oh hey there…

As awesome as it is having this ^ as my office, I'm not going to be posting as often for the next month or so since we are smack in the middle of this huge transition.  We have about 20 more days before we make the drive up to Nashville, and although we wish we could go ahead and get settled up there, we're getting a lot things squared away around here after being away for so long.  (i.e. I'm finally, legally changing my last name…) So before I take a brief hiatus, I'll give a quick update on what has been going on.

We landed safely in America at the very end of June, and after a solid twenty-four hours of traveling we were back at "home".  Darby was a trooper for the duration of the trip and I was so happy that she seemed to be unfazed by it all.  Of course, on the way home, we had to stop for Chick-fil-a, which made everyone a happy camper, and seemed to erase the annoyance of standing in the customs line for 2 hours.

Since being home, we've enjoyed a wedding, several 4th of July celebrations, seeing family, car buying (if you can say that's enjoyable…), and lots and lots of lake time.  (I think the pup is going to be pretty disappointed when she finds out her yard in Nashville doesn't have a lake.)  We still need to buy some things for the house, Ralph needs school supplies, and I need to gather my thoughts enough to get us packed up again and ready for the drive to Tennessee.

Unfortunately, since we're living out of suitcases and are in-between houses the internet situation is a little hit or miss.  I plan on taking a lot of pictures while we're in SC, and blogging as often as I can, but I'll do most of my updating as soon as we get settled in the new place.

Also, I guess I should touch on the fact that I'm sure the blog is bound to change some with this transition since our lives are changing some.  I don't exactly know what that will look like yet, but I'm excited to see what direction the move takes me and this blog.  I plan on writing just as much, if not more, and possibly adding some new things here and there.  So, I guess what I'm trying to say is thanks for hanging in there with us for the last three years…we hope you stay around for three more!

Until next time...
