There is a nice flower market and show going on in the square this weekend and they were just beginning to set up as Darby and I went on our morning walk. I'm a little nervous for the vendors because we have some crazy winds going on right now and I would hate to see things get blown over and ruined. The sun keeps wanting to peek through the clouds, so I'm crossing my fingers for a wind and rain free afternoon.
One part of the square is filled with these uniquely painted Easter eggs. I tried to get Darby to sit in front of them, but she was too busy herding the flower petals that were blowing around in the square...

Again, Darby wanted nothing to do with this picture, instead she just wanted to be perched high upon the step so she could have a full view of all the petals, napkins, and tiny pieces of dust blowing around the square. The dog was zoned in on her "sheep".
The stairs leading up into the basilica had this lovely flower display. I want these people to come decorate the stairs leading to my apartment like this.

I plan on going back out when it's all set up, sans puppy, to walk around, enjoy the displays, and take a few more pictures. It is definitely bringing a lot of color and joy to my Easter weekend!
