Our Good Friday Walk

Happy Good Friday to you all!  It was a lovely morning here in Vicenza, so the pup and I took our favorite walk to the top of Mt. Berico.

Although you can't tell at all in this picture, the wall Darby is sitting on is about 3 feet tall and it goes all the way down the hill about 200 or so meters.  Naturally, Darby needed to walk on the wall instead of beside it.

The view never. gets. old.

Wisteria is growing and blooming everywhere right now.  It's so beautiful!

We decided to add an extra leg to our normal walk to go see if the flowers around the Rotunda were still beautiful.  They were.

"Hey y'all!"

And I'll leave you with a verse I've been meditating on today:

"…because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.  "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth."  When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats.  Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.  He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.  For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls."  - 1 Peter 2: 21-25
