A-Co Family BBQ

I'm too hot and sweaty and covered in these annoying gnats to really post a lot about it...buuuut, the company BBQ went really well today!  John Ralph started cooking the meat last night at about midnight and cooked all through the day.  There was a great turnout and the food was delicious.

The Grill Station.

We ended up getting way more meat than we needed, but we were able to send a bunch of guys home with doggy bags.  And buns.  And Sweet Baby Rays.

Grill Master Ralph.

And the battle scar.  John Ralph was moving the meat last night and a pocket of fat on the pig burst and went through his glove.  This was when the blister was still relatively small.  It's pretty gross looking now.

It was about seven thousand degrees out, but it reminded me of a good ol' Southern pig pickin'.  We're just doing our job, bringing a little bit of South Carolina to Italy, one pig at a time.

  1. Nasty looking blister. I guess the pig had the last laugh.
