We're having a beautiful day in Vicenza. Our windows are currently open, the church bells are telling people it's time to punch the clock, and it's the perfect gelato eating weather. I hope it's equally as beautiful for everyone back home!
Here are some Rome pictures to send you into the weekend...
Roman ruins
Roman statue
Roman church.
Inside the Vatican Museum
View of Rome from the Vatican
Ceiling in the Vatican Museum
The dome of St. Peter's Basilica
A holy pie server.
A happy couple.
A little touch of the South...all the way in Italy.
Spanish Steps. And lots of teenagers and annoying Indian people trying to sell you cheap junk. But let's just focus on the steps.
Colosseum
It was actually smaller than I imagined. And speaking of things that are smaller than I imagined...the Sistine Chapel. They make The Creation of Adam look so big in the history books. Well guess what, it's not. I argued with John Ralph for about five minutes, saying "No, this CAN'T be it." Just letting you guys know so when you come visit me (What? You haven't bought your tickets yet?) you won't be as let down as I was.
More of the happy couple.
The colosseum when you're standing at it's base.
Jessica: "Hey, John Ralph, try not to get that lamp post in the picture of the castle."
John Ralph: "Ok."
Hmm..?
Trevi Fountain. This was my favorite! It was actually as big as I thought it was going to be! I loved it.
And that's all the pictures for this post. I'm going to try to do one more Rome post with pictures. I still have a few good ones to share.
We're heading to the five Cinque Terre towns tomorrow, after I get off work, so I hope everyone has a great weekend! Ciao for now!
