DIY: Lemon Olive Oil Hand Scrub
I figured I would take a little break from posting pictures and share an easy DIY project with y'all.
For those of you who didn't know, this week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Yesterday I got a flower from a student, and today I got a bottle of wine. (A+ for those kids!) The administration also gave us a 10 minute break to go make our own Italian themed hand scrub. It was a great, fun way to take a little breather and get a cool present too.
The scrub was really easy to make! Here is the recipe:
Lemon Olive Oil Hand Scrub
2 1/2 cups of sugar
1 cup olive oil
4 tablespoons lemon juice
Mix the three items together. Store in a mason jar, or similar container.
We used plain, white sugar, but you can also use brown sugar or raw sugar. It separates a small amount as it settles, so you could decrease the amount of olive oil if you wanted, but I thought it was fine. I thought this would make a great present by tying a little wooden scoop around the jar and adding a cute tag. Also, I've already used it, and it makes your hand so soft. So go, pamper yourself! Or, make some and give it to your favorite teacher!
