Pumpkin Picking And Other Fun Stuff

Hey there, I'm back!  I've started my new job so the last two weeks have been spent adjusting to a new schedule.  On that same note, I love my job so far.  I'm working as a bridal consultant and it has been so much fun helping girls find "the dress" for their special day.  The women I work with are also awesome and it feels good to be in the working world again.

Today was my day off, so the hubs and I headed to a farm near Franklin to get in the fall spirit (as if I needed any help).  Sadly, all the pumpkins in the patch were picked when a big crowd was at the farm yesterday, but we still managed to find a few pre-picked pumpkins to bring home.

I'm going to need one each of these cow and goat silhouettes, asap.  Because, you know, I have so many places to put them.  (Ok, but seriously…I need them.)

Gentry's Farm {here} was beautiful.  We didn't pay the $7 to go to the "activity area" because we weren't too interested in hay rides, but the areas we did see were so pretty.  I love a good farm.

Now for the pumpkins.  I didn't really go in with a  plan (surprise, surprise), so I just started grabbing things that looked cool.  I immediately realized that things were getting serious, so I sent Ralph to fetch me a wheelbarrow and I started filling that baby with some cool punks'.

I'll take all of them, please and thank you.

He's a hunk.

My final haul consisted of one big carving pumpkin, three fancy/weird pumpkins, a normal orange one, and a baby orange one.  I'm taking suggestions for what to carve on the big one.

I was proud of my batch of pumpkins, and yes, you better believe I dug around until I found all the good ones.

After we loaded up the car, we decided to stop in downtown Franklin to walk around Main Street.  Once we were there we realized most of the shops were closed, but we found a place that had caramel apples and dark chocolate cherry bark, so I think we can call it win.

Also, I'm going to need this pillow.

On the way home we saw some hot air balloons, but unfortunately this is the best picture I got of them (the dot above the tree).  I'm kind of interested in taking a hot air balloon ride now.  Has anyone done it?  Is it fun?
