Ciao lovelies! I have been busy sweating to death over here, but luckily I woke up to rain clouds and a cooler forecast this morning. I've been pinning lots of wonderful fall delights on Pinterest in hopes that it will bring on some cooler temperatures. I'll let you know how that works out for me.
This past week was spent working, exercising, and getting my life in order for this next school year that is rapidly approaching. My friend and I are smack in the middle of what we like to call "Operation Get Fit", and I've been doing a pretty awesome job working out. I think it has helped keep me sane as I gear up for a new classroom full of 4 year olds (Lord, help me).
To wind down this weekend, I headed to a great vineyard about 20 minutes away...twice. Friday night I went with a group to do a wine tasting with appetizers, and Saturday I returned for surprise birthday party and pizza. Le Pignole is definitely a place I want to take John Ralph once he comes home (and any family or friends that come to visit!). The owners are wonderful, it's on a gorgeous hillside, and to top it all off they have the best Australian Shepherd pup that I may or may not have tried to coax into my car to come home with me. Here are some pictures from the weekend:
Rows and rows of grape vines
Harvesting complete
Lovely sunset shining on the Verona mountains
Pizza paired perfectly with a glass of vino
Nanook just checking in on things
Heidi and I enjoying the evening
The birthday party crew
Have a great week, y'all! Ciao for now!
