Updates

It's update time again, so here we go:

-I got a call from my main squeeze today.  Unfortunately it was right as three parents were walking in the classroom, so I couldn't talk.  I answered it real quick and we only exchanged two sentences, but it was so good to hear his voice.

-Tomorrow is my last day with this year's preschool kiddos.  My new preschool class starts on September 13th.  Luckily I get a few extra days to get the classroom ready.  I hope I can teach these new kids something!

-I started organizing a surprise to send John Ralph and his platoon, and so far the response and help from our families has been AWESOME!  I can't wait to put everything together.

-Today, I was thinking about how nothing really exciting and "Italian" has happened to me lately....then I realized I haven't been using public transit for two months.  I kind of miss the crazies I interacted with while waiting on the bus every morning.  Ok...actually, no, I don't.

-"Lonely, party of one, your table is ready."  I haven't used the stove in almost two months.  While I like that I haven't had to wash pots or pans, I think it's about time I eat something other than cereal, veggie burgers, and Healthy Choice Steamers.

-I have gone to some really nice restaurants and wineries lately and I can not wait to take John Ralph to all of them!  We are really bad at not going on "dates" (just going to dinner without planning it doesn't count).  I'm so excited that all of these places will be perfect for a date night!

-As of right now, my Christmas leave was denied at work, so I don't think I'll be making it home.  If you talk to Santa, make sure he knows I'll be in Italy.  And if you're feeling extra full of Christmas cheer, you can come spend the holiday with me!

Those are all of the updates I can think about right now.  Don't forget to keep John Ralph and his platoon, company, and battalion (and the whole military in general) in your prayers!  Hopefully I'll get to talk to him soon and I can do an update on how he's doing.  Also, I'm sure he would love to hear from friends and family, so message me if you would like his address!

Ciao for now!
