Veterans Day Weekend

We're ending this workweek with a trip to Krakow, Poland.  John Ralph and I are flying out of Milan tomorrow morning to meet a few friends and have a fun weekend.  The weather is going to be on the chilly side with lows in the 20s and highs barely reaching the 40s.  The airline we're flying with has very strict policies on luggage sizes, so I'm trying to figure out what (and how) to pack in one tiny little suitcase so that I have enough clothes and I don't freeze.

It needs not to be left unsaid that the reason we have an extra day off this weekend is because of the veterans who have served, and are currently serving our country.  As we enjoy our time with our families and friends, take a moment to thank God for the men and women who have made so many sacrafices so that we can enjoy the comfortable lives that we have.

A veteran is someone, who at one point in his life wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life".  That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
