The weekend, the Hubs and I headed up to Germany to attend a Strong Bonds marriage retreat. The trip was really nice, considering the time we have spent together lately has been pretty minimal. When you're constantly being pulled in opposite directions (be it by work, traveling, whatever…) it's nice to gather some tools to help you stay connected. We covered the 5 Love Languages and discussed some communication tools. I'll be the first to admit that being happily married takes work. I'm glad the Army gave us a (free) opportunity to work on keeping our marriage a healthy one!
On Sunday, we had a lot of free time so we decided to rent bikes and ride around the area. I'll give it to Germany, they have amazing walking and biking trails through some beautiful landscapes. We spent the afternoon just pedaling around in the amazing weather. Here are a few pictures I was able to snap:
Through the fence
Tiny chapel
Little boxes on the hillside
Ok, we thought this was really cool: Look at the mountains. Isn't it cool that each "level" of mountains is almost identical to the next? Do you see what I'm talking about? Do I sound crazy?
